Still looking for a Trop Rock event to attend this year?  How ’bout coming to Iowa?  The Isle of Iowa PHC in conjunction with the Surf Ballroom and Museum is thrilled to be hosting the third Island Fever Showcase in Clear Lake, Iowa on Labor Day weekend 2023. The dates for this event are September 1st thru the 4th. We will open with a welcome party the evening of Thursday, August 31st, that location is yet to be determined.  Friday will be filled with music at different venues around the city of Clear Lake. How ’bout a boat ride Friday on the Lady of the Lake featuring one or more of your favorite artists?  Jon Burns will again be hosting a Pirates and Poets session on Friday afternoon. Music at the Surf Ballroom will start Friday evening and be headlined by the Blooze Brothers Band, an 11th piece band out of Chicago, Illinois….rumor has it the Blooze Mobile will also be in town!  Time to dress up in your Blues Brothers outfits!  Start off your Saturday with a Bloody Mary morning at a venue to be announced. Music will start at around 11:00am at the Surf Ballroom on both Saturday and Sunday. When you enter through the doors into the Surf Ballroom and Museum you will be stepping into one of the most historic music venues in the country. The Midwest venue will come alive with over 50 Trop Rock music artists playing your favorites, plus more. No need to worry about weather inside the climate-controlled Surf Ballroom. Don’t forget to bring those poodle skirts and leather jackets on Sunday night for the one and only Flip-Flop Hop! We will close out the weekend on Monday morning with a send-off party featuring the one and only Jim Hoehn. VIP, Two-Day, and One-Day tickets are available.
