Hello to Everyone! Hard to believe that we are less than four weeks away from the third rendition of Island Fever Showcase at the Historic Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa! The Isle of Iowa held our monthly board meeting last night and we are sorry to report that after doing a lot of discussion about how the Trop Rock Music scene is rapidly changing, and there are getting to be so many events being held for Parrot Heads to travel to and enjoy, we came to the decision that this will be the last Island Fever Showcase. We want to thank everyone that has traveled both near and far to the first two showcases and look forward to welcoming all that are attending this years event on Labor Day weekend. We are definitely not going out with a whimper, but with a loud bang! We have a fantastic music line up and who knows what will happen and who will be playing with who! When Bart Mason and his sidekick me (Gerald Ptacek) started this idea in 2017, we planned on this being a one and done event. We have far exceeded Bart’s dream and we all wish he was here to join in on this final bash!
